SNMP

Simple Network Management Protocol

There is no current implementation of SNMP for OWFS, although the design would seem to be natural.

SNMP:

• Self discoverable
• Pre-specified node properties
• read/write/information messages
• used for monitoring and control

For anyone interested in implementing support, we have been assigned a PEN (Privater Enterprise Number) for the SNMP MIB database of 33280
